Why This Guns N' Roses Fan Was Banned From Their Concerts For Life

He’s been to 32 shows, tattooed the band’s autographs on his arm, and named his son Axl, but Rick Dunsford is apparently the last person Guns N’ Roses wants to see at its shows.

The Mississippi resident says GNR banned him for life because it thinks he leaked Chinese Democracy demos online. Dunsford admits he does own a 19-disc bootleg from the sessions leading up to the 2008 album, but that’s all he’s saying.

“So today I flew out to Wichita, KS to see my favorite band Guns N’ Roses,” he wrote on Facebook. “Today would be my 33rd time seeing them! Well I was just pulled from the line and told if I ever come to a Guns N’ Roses show again that I’ll be arrested! I was escorted off the property and told I’m done.”

Video posted to Facebook by another user reportedly shows Dunsford talking to security.

It's not clear how Guns N’ Roses knew who he was or what he looked like, but Dunsford is apparently well-known in the GNR online / social media / message board fan community.

GNR has not commented on the matter, but the band will be playing for tens of thousands of fans not named Rick Dunsford this fall. Axl, Slash, Duff and company are back for another leg of their Not in This Lifetime Tour. It ends the weekend of November 1 with two gigs in Las Vegas.
