Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" Just Hit Its Highest Chart Position Ever

December 11, 2018

Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You"will be 25 years old next year. And this week, it landed at #7 on the "Billboard" Hot 100, which is its highest chart position EVER.

Believe it or not, this is only the second time it's been in the Top 10.  Last year it broke in at #9, and became Mariah's 28th Top 10 hit.  That tied her with Stevie Wonder for 7th place on the all-time list.

There are still two weeks to go before Christmas, so it's possible the song could rise even higher. Speaking of the Hot 100, Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" continues to hold at #1 this week, and just notched the biggest streaming week ever for a female artist.
