It’s a good thing that the ’90s are totally, like, back because Black Sabbath‘s infamously dopey  frontman Ozzy Osbourne recently toldReuters that he can’t remember that decade because, well, he was under the influence of things that doped him up.

In 2002, his whole family starred in one of the first reality television shows ever, The Osbournes, but Ozzy had to get sober before that (even though he briefly slipped recently) in order to show his face to the world.

“The best thing is that we are still f**king all alive to be in a band,” said Osbourne. “I don’t know about the rest of the guys, [but] I certainly had a good go at trying to kill myself with the alcohol and booze for all the years. I kind of missed the ’90s, you know? I must have been in a cocaine haze, because I can’t remember the ’90s at all.”

“We’ve all come out the other side, the other end,” the frontman continued. “It is good to be back sober and clean [even though I have had] a hiccup now and again along the way. I don’t get up and the first thing I say is that I will have a shot of brandy. I don’t do that or smoke cigarettes anymore. We are alive and it is a lot more more fun being sober and enjoying your fellow workers that you are working with.”

After a steady marketing push including appearing on CSI and releasing two videos in two days, Black Sabbath’s 13 is their first album to hit #1 on the charts.

Now that Osbourne has the wherewithal to remember what the ’90s were like, who’s betting that he’ll get a random Troll collection fetish? They are kind of his ’90s spirit animal.
