georgeharrison092609 Doctor Sued By George Harrisons Family Accused Of Wrongful DeathThe doctor who was once sued by the estate of legendary [lastfm]Beatles[/lastfm] guitarist [lastfm]George Harrison[/lastfm] has found himself in legal trouble again.

Gilbert Lederman, of the Staten Island University Hospital, was first sued by Harrison’s widow for forcing the musician to give him an autograph while on his deathbed, and is now being sued for the wrongful death of an Italian woman.

According to a report from the New York Daily News, Lederman administered radiation treatment to 34-year old Giuseppa Bono after she came to him claiming that she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

It seems, however, that Bono’s cancer was never officially confirmed by doctors in the U.S. or Italy, and the woman may not have had cancer at all.

Lederman’s legal team is arguing that the doctor’s treatment was in accordance with her initial diagnosis by Italian doctors, and that pancreatic cancer can not always be confirmed by conventional means.

“The judgment of the patient’s treating physicians, including her surgeon in Italy, was that she had metastic pancreatic cancer,” reads a court document.

Lederman allegedly made frequent references to his treatment of Harrison, and even spoke to Bono of his famous patient, saying, “If with all his money George Harrison came to me for his cancer treatment, when he could go anywhere in the world, that should be a lesson to you.”
